Editorium Update

I just finished typesetting another book in Microsoft Word. Even though I used my WordSetter program, I’m convinced there’s got to be an easier way. Why would I want to typeset a book in Word? Automatic footnotes, that’s why.

A couple of co-workers have recently started using Word 2003. Much to their annoyance, they found that they could no longer use one of their favorite features: put the cursor anywhere in a word and press CTRL + I to italicize the whole word. I, too, had vaguely wondered about this, but not enough to do anything about it. Thanks to Jay Parry for discovering the solution, which is:
