ScrIndex
January 4, 2008 – 3:00 pmI’m happy to announce the release of ScrIndex, a new program that will be of interest to indexers, editors, and publishers whose projects cite various books of scripture:
http://www.editorium.com/scrindex.htm
ScrIndex automatically finds and indexes scripture citations in a Microsoft Word document, creating an index with entries like these:
Genesis
6:8, p. 17
19:19, p. 17
Exodus
33:13, p. 17
34:9, pp. 17, 20
ScrIndex can index citations from the following books, as requested by various Editorium clients:
* Old Testament
* New Testament
* Apocrypha
* Book of Mormon
* Doctrine and Covenants
* Pearl of Great Price
If you’d like ScrIndex to handle other books, please send the following information to editor@editorium.com:
* The name of the book (for example, The Old Testament).
* The names of the individual books within the main book (for example, Genesis, Exodus, etc.).
* The standard abbreviations for the individual books (for example, Gen., Ex., etc.).
I hope you enjoy using ScrIndex!

I *love* SpamArrest. After unsuccessfully trying to fight the battle against junk email with a couple of top-notch programs, I decided to try SpamArrest, and I’m thrilled to say it’s actually won the war. Boy, has my email been quiet! When people send me an email message, they receive a message in return asking them to click a link to register themselves (a one-time operation) as someone who can send me email. Spammers, of course, won’t bother to do this, which basically means no more spam! It’s easy to preregister family, friends, associates, and email newsletters. The online program (no software installed on your computer) provides complete control over how spam is handled, and it’s very easy to use. You can try SpamArrest for 30 days at no charge.
